self-efficacy4MINT

Project Team

The Self-Efficacy4MINT project brings together three partners who combine scientific expertise, practice-oriented education research, and strong industry networks. Together, they develop new concepts to strengthen the self-efficacy of young women on their path into STEM careers.

HDBW - Hochschule der Bayerischen Wirtschaft

HDBW – Bavarian University of Business and Technology

HDBW leads the project and contributes extensive experience in managing complex research collaborations. It has as close ties to medium-sized businesses, through its strong network — including the SME Competence Center (Vereinigung der Bayerischen Wirtschaft, vbw). It ensures access to a wide range of companies involved in the interview and knowledge transfer phases.

The university is particularly committed to increasing the proportion of women in technical degree programs and works with its partners to develop concepts that strengthen the self-efficacy of female students as they transition into professional life.

f-bb - Forschungsinstitut Betriebliche Bildung

f-bb – Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training

f-bb brings extensive expertise in vocational education, organizational development, and gender-sensitive research approaches. As one of Germany's leading institutes for workplace learning, it maintains a broad network of companies, associations, and education stakeholders.

Within the project, f-bb is primarily responsible for analysing organizational conditions, conducting qualitative company interviews, and developing concepts for a women-friendly, diversity-oriented workplace culture.

OVGU – Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg

OVGU contributes deep academic expertise in engineering pedagogy and STEM education. It conducts qualitative interviews with female students and professionals to analysing the biographical factors that shape self-efficacy and career transitions.

Drawing on experience from numerous BMBF-funded projects, OVGU develops the project's core theoretical foundations and plays a central role in designing and piloting workshop formats aimed at promoting self-efficacy.
